Amelia Island
The eight flags tour takes you on a historical journey through all of the locations that those flags have flown over the islands incredible history. The only location in America to have had this number of independent flags. You will travel through the historic downtown district and out to the original Fernandina. On our journey we will cover each of the flags, the period from which they flew and the historical significance behind all of those dates from a historical perspective.

I ended up being the only person scheduled for my tour, and Daniel still delivered the full experience. He was extremely knowledgeable, answered all of my questions, and even tailored the route in real time based on our conversation. That was probably the best part of the tour—it was a conversation instead of a monologue. Who knew that Amelia Island had such a rich and varied history and that the architecture was so beautiful and interesting? Daniel was the best guide and clued my wife and me into all the history of the island. He is a wealth of knowledge and kept us comfortable as we drove around in his van exploring the sights. And of course we had to accept his challenge of partaking in the yummy Pirate Punch at the historic Palace Saloon. Thanks Daniel for a great and informative tour!
